Numeracy (C)

Percentage of 5th and 8th graders with different levels of numeracy/mathematics proficiency, as a percentage of all 5th / 8th graders who took the national tests.

There are three levels of proficiency for 5th graders, where level 1 is the lowest.

Based on the score, students are distributed into different proficiency levels. Score limits are set on the basis of the results at national level.

To change the table, open the "change selection of...".
Three measures are available. Use the Measure button to select:

Kind of Data

Due to the risk of identification of individuals, data for small groups are not published. In practice, values for proficiency level are concealed if the following applies:
a) Fewer than 10 people in the denominator
b) Fewer than three children at one of the proficiency levels (i.e. close to 100% on lowest proficiency level)

If more than 20 per cent of the numbers in a time series are hidden for privacy reasons, the entire time series is concealed so as not to create a false impression of the situation in the municipality. For reasons of statistical power, time series where more than 50 per cent of the numbers in the time series are based on fewer than 7 cases are also hidden.
